Week of January 3rd

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I hope everyone had a fabulous holiday and break from school! I know I did! It was nice to visit family and have a break.

This week we are back to the grind! In reading we will be talking about plural words with the -es ending. We are also talking about bossy r with r controlled vowels-or and ore. The high frequency words are away, car, friends, house, our, school, and very.

In math, we will continue with greater than and less than number stories and sentences, comparison math problems, number stories, and dice sums (addition).

In Social studies we will talk about the Chinese New Year and our new year by making resolutions, and discussing the Chinese traditions.
